Red Wolf. A Novel in Stories

Several years ago, such literature was commonly referred to as "emigrant." In "Red Wolf," the author indeed explores the characteristics of one world using the tools of another. But now, as the best writers of Russian literature have relocated from east to west, such explorations are becoming mainstream.

The stories of Alexander Etman have the same quality as that of good instant coffee: they must be mixed with boiling water from one’s own memories and emotions to create a product of unique aroma and taste. In this sense, "Red Wolf" is an excellent immersive prose; it requires the reader to not just read it, but to immerse themselves, and that immersion must be slow, conscious, and incredibly engaging.

Alexander Etman is a journalist, writer, and playwright, born and educated in Riga, living and working in Chicago. The novel "Red Wolf" is his third book.
