Notes of a Foreign Agent on the History, Culture, and Z-Militarism (2023–2024)

This collection includes analytical articles from January 2023 to the summer of 2024, written for various publications and grouped around three key themes: the politics of memory, Z-militarism, and the cultural mechanisms justifying Russian aggression.

All these texts are both a way to break out of the intellectual stupor caused by war, to rebuild oneself anew, and an attempt to extract from all the military verbosity that which leads to an understanding of current events. How successful this endeavor has been will be shown by time, and it is for the reader to decide. However, anonymous Russian officials, in their decision to assign the author of these articles the status of "foreign agent," clearly took seriously what was written.
