Alexander Cain — a talented mage and experienced investigator who previously handled cases related to magic. After the death of his wife, he loses his support, job, and reputation. At this moment, the head of the department for combating atypical magic, Raymond Gray, offers him to join a new team, and the hero finds himself once again in a series of dangerous investigations, where unknown forces may stand behind an ordinary crime.
