Once Upon a Time in Chicago: 1930 — is an evolution of the game Once Upon a Time in Chicago, but you don’t need to play the first game to play the new one. It is a detective game about the adventures of John Fitzpatrick, a reporter for the "Chicago Tribune", regarding events happening in Chicago in the early 1930s. At a time when the Great Depression was beginning in the United States and Prohibition was about to be lifted after being in place for over a decade, the influence of gangsters was particularly strong, and it seemed that no event in Chicago occurred without their involvement. Playing the role of journalist John Fitzpatrick, you will have to unravel six intricate stories, each with its own independent plot but partially connected to others, with its unique set of characters and clues. Police officers and gangsters, strongmen and bootleggers, civilians — all the people you meet along the way may provide valuable information or simply deceive you. Detective experience, intuition, and logic must guide you through the web of lies, hints, and coincidences. Careless facts, suspicious events, codes, and charades — are what will help shed light on these mysteries and solve the most complicated cases. Over 100 unique locations await you during the game. Among them are the "Chicago Tribune", the Boeing Company testing center, the Imperial Restaurant, the University of Chicago, and the small town of Dixon, just a couple of hours' drive from Chicago.
