Treatment of Diseases by Methods of Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion Therapy

This edition is the fourth book in the series "Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion Therapy." The book is compiled by translating official educational materials from Chinese medical institutes of the higher education system of the People's Republic of China, primarily from the series of printed publications of the Tianjin Institute of Chinese Medicine, and materials from the website of the Nanjing Institute of Chinese Medicine. Reference publications in Chinese were used during the work, in particular, "Zhēn Jiǔ Dà Cí Diǎn" (Great Dictionary of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, 1987), "Zhōng Yī Dà Cí Diǎn" (Great Dictionary of Chinese Medicine, 1995), as well as numerous comments and interpretations of the concepts of Chinese medicine from various sources. The book contains descriptions of the etiology, pathogenesis, and main symptoms of diseases in both Chinese and Western medicine, as well as treatment options from modern and ancient written sources. The book is written in an accessible language and contains a large volume of previously unpublished information in Russian. It will be useful for specialists involved in traditional medicine, as well as for anyone interested in health maintenance issues.
