The album is dedicated to American painting from the 18th century to the first third of the 20th century in all its richness and diversity of artistic directions and styles. It features historical paintings on colonial themes by Benjamin West, grand landscapes by the masters of American romanticism from the "Hudson River School" Frederick Church and Thomas Cole, exquisite portraits by James Whistler and John Sargent, dynamic scenes from the life of industrial areas of American cities created by George Bellows in the context of the artistic direction "Ashcan School", and mysterious, almost mystical paintings by the greatest master of realism of the 20th century, Edward Hopper. Special attention is paid to such a bright and original direction of American painting as Impressionism, represented by a large group of talented artists, including the famous Hassam, Chase, Cassatt.
