Criminal Psychology. Course of Lectures

The course of lectures on criminal psychology, prepared by employees of the Psychological Support Department of Prosecutorial Activities at the Academy of the General Prosecutor's office, is largely based on their own years of research. The lectures present an original and unconventional view on many issues of criminal psychology, combining theoretical and experimental approaches, emphasizing the specific psychological mechanisms involved in various crimes, both intentional and negligent. The authors explore in an unconventional manner the issues concerning the personality of the criminal, the motivation for criminal behavior, the psychology of juvenile offenders, the interaction between the criminal and the victim in criminal situations, group and organized crime, etc. The lectures are intended for a wide audience - students, graduate students, teachers of law and psychology, researchers, as well as law enforcement officers - prosecutors, investigators, judges, and lawyers. .
