Paige Malone returns from Harvard for the summer to her coastal hometown – without money or plans. Seb Jansen dropped out of school a long time ago and now services the yachts of the wealthy on Lake Michigan. They haven't seen each other since school, even though they were once best friends. They explored sun-drenched beaches and searched for the treasures of the pirate Fatum Jack, a hero of the local legend about the Golden Venus.
