The Box for Writing Implements

In his works, magical realism intertwines with hypertextuality, allowing the reader to influence the plot. The story of "The Box for Writing Implements" begins at the moment of conclusion. Inside the box – in postcards, an advertisement, a recipe, a manuscript, and photographs – is captured the complex love story of two extraordinary individuals. She can read scents and twice buys the most expensive fur coat in Paris for free. He seeks a girl with a female version of "The Dictionary of the Khazars" and forgets his native language after seven lessons. Their relationship is measured by love hours, which count the duration of the love act. Sometimes one or several drops of time fall together, sometimes one drop of love time is larger, and the next smaller... This is a wordless tale about what love is. The novel has two endings, one of which can be unlocked by scanning a QR code.
