Yellow Level of Danger

When Dorthe arrives at a luxurious guest house in nature, a storm is already brewing over the surroundings. The whole family will gather here for the weekend to celebrate the golden anniversary of the parents: Dorthe's brother is expected, as well as her sister with her husband and dog. But Dorthe almost immediately begins to regret her decision to gather the whole family in such a secluded place. The storm that has broken out cuts off the house from the outside world: a landslide blocks the road, and the family finds themselves trapped inside with two unfamiliar hunters who have accidentally found refuge here. Dorthe does not yet know that the landslide is just the beginning of a chain of events that will forever change each of their lives. “Yellow Level of Danger” is a novel about people and animals, about fear and closeness, about how we perceive each other and nature, of which we inevitably remain a part.
