Dark Oath

Friends Kupava and Milica make a deal: one gets a chance at a happy marriage, the other – wealth. It quickly becomes clear that the price will be heavy for both. While one is haunted by night terrors, the other loses her position in the house and confronts a new mistress connected to a mysterious comb that bends another's will. To survive and protect her sister, the heroine must go where human rules no longer apply: through the dark forest, marshes, and an encounter with a mara. The plot is based on choices, retribution, and fear of foreign power that infiltrates the most ordinary daily life.
