Midnight in the Sea City

Year 2142. In this new world, people live much longer, have managed to solve many economic and ecological problems, and whole cities have spread across the depths of the oceans. Forty years have passed since the asteroid Sessyo-seki nearly destroyed Earth. Akira Kimura, the scientist responsible for the project that dealt with the threat, has become a true star. But now she feels that someone wants to kill her, and therefore calls her former head of security, who has now become a police officer. But upon arriving in the underwater city where Kimura has set up her headquarters, he finds only the mangled body of his former boss. And now he will risk everything—his career, his family, even his own life—to find out who is responsible for her death.
