The Speaker

Mario Vargas Llosa (1936–2025) is a Peruvian writer, one of the outstanding representatives of Latin American prose, Nobel Prize winner in Literature in 2010, winner of the Cervantes Prize and other prestigious awards, member of the French Academy, and knight of the Order of the Legion of Honor. Each work of Vargas Llosa is a separate world, unforgettable and unique. The novel "The Speaker," likewise unique in its own way and unlike anything else, tells the story of a primitive nomadic tribe of Machiguenga Indians, lost in the depths of the Amazon jungle.
