Murder in Chianti

When Nico Doyle, a former detective from New York, decided to settle in the ancient town of Gravignia, he dreamed of peace and quiet. And of his own garden, of course. However, the depths of Tuscany turned out to be far from the calm place Nico had imagined. One day, his morning idyll while cooking in the kitchen is interrupted by a gunshot in the woods and a dog's bark. Rushing towards the noise, Nico is surprised to find a body under the vineyard. The case is taken up by the unlucky carabiniere Salvatore Perillo, who has not investigated anything more serious than the theft of a wine barrel. Upon learning about Nico's detective past, he persuades him to help. Everything is complicated by the fact that they have almost no evidence, but a whole town of suspects. The deceased was known to everyone, and many had a grudge against him. Taking his dog Tail with him, Nico delves deeper into the mysteries of the neighbors. It seems that behind their friendly smiles there may be real danger for him and his loved ones.
