March of Life

The book «March of Life…» — an exceptional documentary study dedicated to the history of the rescue of more than 200 Belarusian Jews by partisan Nikolai Kiselev and his comrades. The author relies on the few surviving documents and on the oral testimonies of participants in the March of Life, with whom she managed to interview. The lively language and captivating, at times almost detective narrative make Inna Gerasimova's book significant both in content and artistic terms.
