How to Read a Book

The collection includes essays by Joseph Brodsky (1940-1996), in which the poet reflects on the nature of creativity and inspiration, on the role of poetry and literature in society, on the mythology surrounding the personality of the creator, which has developed throughout human history. These essays, written by the author in English in the late 1980s - early 1990s, were published in New York in the collection "On Grief and Reason". In this edition, they are presented both in the original and in translation into Russian.
