Light Breathing

Ivan Alekseyevich Bunin enriched the literature of the 20th century with his colorful sentimental stories. During the years of his life, he faced the most terrible misfortunes of the century — revolution, two world wars… Nevertheless, until his last days, Bunin continued to write. Researchers place his works alongside those of Chekhov and Gogol. And they are certainly right, for any work by the writer, even the shortest, is capable of surprising the modern reader in some way: be it the non-linear narrative in "Light Breathing" or the dramatic characters in "Mitina's Love." In his texts, poetry and prose, laughter and tears intertwine.
