Rezkaïn grew up and was trained in isolation in the northern wastelands of the kingdom of Ashai. His world was only the Fortress, and his only "family" was ruthless mentors. But now almost all of them are dead, and their bodies lie amidst the ruins. Only one managed to escape the massacre. It is after his trail that Rezkaïn ventures into the outside world.
Perhaps this man knows the truth that the dying master did not have time to reveal to him. Perhaps out there are the very friends that Rezkaïn must honor and protect. Perhaps out there he will find the meaning of his existence and a purpose in life.
But first he must navigate a world full of big and small people who do not possess Skills, do not follow the Rules, and are constantly smiling and deceiving. In a word: this is not at all the right world for a serious hero.
