Pyramid

In the autumn of 1940, a miracle occurs at the Old Fedoseyevsky cemetery – an angel depicted on one of the columns of the church transforms into a man. Thus begins "Pyramid" – the main work of the outstanding Russian writer Leonid Leonov, which he worked on for more than half a century.

Published in 1994, "Pyramid" rightfully earned the reputation of the last great book of Russian literature of the 20th century, and the philosophical reflections hidden behind the plot had a tremendous impact on contemporaries.
