The Storyteller

The manga of Yosuke Takahashi is characterized by a distinctly moralistic nature, which somewhat resembles classic fables. The passionate desire for something that overtakes Takahashi's characters grows into obsession and then becomes sin. And as we know, sins must be paid for. In addition to established notions of ghosts, werewolves, and other mythical creatures, the author mocks certain modern pursuits, such as the desire to be more beautiful than created by God, or the ubiquitous fight against obesity, reducing seemingly good intentions to what they truly represent—vanity as a form of moral deformity.
