Aidan Tyler won the Booker Prize for his first novel. But after that, his career came to a standstill. For many years, not a single book was published. In an attempt to shake things up, the writer participates in a TV show where he sharply criticizes romance novels. This is a fiasco.
To restore his reputation, Aidan decides to write a romance novel. But it's not that simple. He has a competitor – Laurel, whose books sell millions of copies.
