Fathers and Sons

Ivan Turgenev is one of the most significant Russian writers of the 19th century, the author of the cycle of stories "Notes of a Hunter", the story "Mumu", the novellas "First Love", "Asya", the novels "A Nobleman's Nest", "Fathers and Sons", and others.
"Fathers and Sons" is a novel about the eternal conflict of generations. The young doctor Yevgeny Bazarov, a convinced nihilist, arrives at the estate of his friend Arkady Kirsanov and engages in a debate with representatives of the "old" noble world, primarily with Pavel Petrovich Kirsanov. Their opposition manifests itself in views on social order, the role of science and art, morality, and family values.
