The White Steamboat

Chinghiz Aitmatov (1928—2008) — a Soviet Kyrgyz writer, a master of the delicate intertwining of mythology and reality. Through the lens of a child's perception, he raises important questions of morality, responsibility, and the connection of man to his ancestors and native nature in his works.

Based on the legend of the common origin of humans and marals, the philosophical parable "The White Steamboat" warns that a person's hand should not rise against their younger brothers. In real life, the violation of the law of unity between man and nature leads to the fate of misfortune hanging over people.
