The Joy of Meeting. Conversations about Happiness and the Meaning of Life

The apostle Paul's exhortation is well known: «Rejoice always» (1 Thess. 5:16). But can we truly live like that? What is true joy, anyway? And how do we let it into our hearts? It is symbolic that the answers to these and other questions about joy came from a meeting—a living dialogue with the head of the Synodal Department for Charity, spiritual child of Father Georgy Bureyev, Father Mikhail Potokin. It is symbolic because the key that unlocks the door to the world of true joy lies in meeting—in meeting with God through authenticity. We just need to learn to notice this. And along with joy, happiness and meaning will come into life. We invite everyone to become a witness or even a participant in this dialogue.
