Elementary Algebra. A Guide for Self-Education

The guide on elementary algebra is intended for independent work of students in middle and high school. The educational material is divided into two extensive courses, the content of which is built from simple to complex. The first part introduces students to the concepts of algebraic expressions, fractions, functions and their graphs, methods of solving equations, operations with arithmetic roots and irrational numbers. The second part of the course thoroughly discusses topics of inequalities, limits, differential, logarithms and integral, as well as presents the basics of trigonometric functions and initial information from probability theory. For the convenience of students, the theoretical material is accompanied by examples of solving problems, and at the end of each chapter, practical exercises are provided.

The goal of the book is not just to train students' mathematical skills, but to develop analytical thinking by teaching them to break down complex problems into smaller parts and identify relationships.
