Young Sarasa is deeply unhappy: her parents have suddenly disappeared, and in her new family, she faces misunderstanding and violence. One day, in desperation, the girl leaves with a stranger who offers her an umbrella and vanilla ice cream. Thus begins two months of strange but happy solitude with Fumi - a boy resembling a robot, who hides his secret. Their idyll is disrupted by the police… Fifteen years later, adult Sarasa, still a prisoner of the past, accidentally finds the café of an old acquaintance. Their meeting puts her relationships, job, and peace at risk.
