Carnegie laid everything out clearly and purposefully. Undeniable principles of effective communication—for example, that one should criticize less and put oneself in another person's shoes when evaluating their actions or giving them advice—are based on basic humanistic ideas such as compassion, respect, and care for oneself and loved ones.
As for the content of individual chapters: a reader who is not involved in sales, etc., might want more examples of using these principles in family communication. It seems that some approaches, formulated as separate principles, overlap with others—which means it would be more logical to combine them. However, everything is explained very accessibly and convincingly. Such knowledge should be mandatory in high school senior classes and also in courses for young parents; although professional psychologists view this book with a certain degree of skepticism, the recommendations outlined in it are very practical and will serve as a good foundation for anyone who wants to master "everyday psychology."
