The Prince

The Universal Guide to the Science of Governance of Any State Structure "The Prince" is the most famous work of the Florentine statesman of the Renaissance Niccolò Machiavelli (1469–1527), which brought him worldwide fame. The book essentially serves as a universal guide to the science of governing any state structure. In his fundamental work, Machiavelli describes and compares examples drawn from ancient history with his own observations of his era and, based on this, deduces certain rules and laws of political life, providing practical advice to rulers (princes, dukes, kings). The main principles of political philosophy formulated by Machiavelli over 500 years ago remain relevant today and will retain their significance for many, many years to come.
