Heart of the Storm

In Petrograd, there is always work for a forensic expert, and Anna Titova enjoys her unusual service: thanks to her gift, she handles it easily. But the frozen corpse found by the Kryukov Canal in an evening suit brings more puzzles than answers. The victim's outer clothing has been removed, and the stab wounds look strange; there are no tracks around the body. Anna has to work with Konstantin Khmarin, a meticulous and somewhat rough police detective who doesn't trust a lady in a man's position. He himself cannot shake off the ghosts of the past, but perhaps meeting Anna is his chance for a new life?
