32-year-old Charlie Gordon is mentally challenged. He works as a janitor, attends a special school, and dreams of becoming intelligent. For the sake of his dream, Charlie agrees to participate in a dangerous scientific experiment. Experiments are conducted on him and a mouse named Algernon. Changes in Charlie occur before our eyes. His first reports contain many spelling mistakes. Gradually, Charlie begins to write more correctly. His intelligence develops rapidly. However, this does not bring the desired joy. For his dream, Charlie will have to pay a high price…
