Owner of a small bookstore Annie Murray decides to organize an unusual event. This time, Annie invites the glamorous world of Hollywood to a small film festival that will take place right among the bookshelves. What could be more original?! Annie is full of enthusiasm to launch the first film festival in Redwood Grove. But when a notorious film critic dies by falling from a height during the premiere of a Hitchcock-style thriller, Annie's intuition tells her that this is not an accident. Soon, she discovers that many actors, crew members, and guests are hiding dark secrets: from a leading actress with a scandalous past to a film historian trembling over his collection of vintage film reels. And now it is up to Annie Murray not only to uncover all the secrets and find the killer but also to save the film festival from failure!
