Duped. From the Diaries 1939–1945

Friedrich Kellner, one of the German anti-fascist officials, documented the crimes of the regime almost daily from 1939 to 1945. His goal was to leave records of the senseless submission of the Germans and the brainwashing effects of Nazi propaganda. The combination of newspaper clippings and comments on them transformed Kellner's diary into an essential historical document, an "image of Nazi Germany that had never before existed in such a vivid, concise, and impressive form" ("Der Spiegel").
