Girl for Services

In a private residence in the London suburb, everything looks perfect. Behind the giant gates hide five luxurious mansions where rich, prosperous, and well-mannered families live with children and "girls for services" hired from abroad to handle household chores. Yesterday's schoolgirl Emmilu runs here from a backwater town in Brittany, finding work as such a maid—caring for children, cleaning the house, learning English, preparing for journalism school, discovering life. At first, she thinks she has landed in paradise.

But the paradise clearly has a stench of hellish ash. Unrelenting, constant fatigue, horrible nightmares, ominous whispers, muffled night prayers, the illness of the eldest child which no one mentions a word... Emmilu is constantly under supervision, cut off from the world, forbidden to leave the gates, and gradually she descends into the abyss of relentless paranoia. What is happening? What do these rich and well-mannered people want? And how can she escape from them?
