Year 5012 AD. When aliens from other galaxies invaded Earth, the glorious history of humanity came to a swift and sudden end. The aliens used a new type of weapon—mechanical forms of life—which soon nearly wiped human civilization off the face of the planet. A handful of survivors fled the planet and attempted to settle on the Moon. Year 5204 AD. Humanity launched a counterattack, calling forth an army of androids from orbital base networks, but even after a dozen large-scale landings in enemy territory, they failed to dislodge the invaders. Since then, the soldiers of YoRHa have been ordered to turn the tide and put an end to this war at all costs.
