The Snake in the Fist

France at the beginning of the 20th century. Young Jean Rézo, nicknamed Grab-and-Swallow, and his older brother Rokhlya live carefree in the family estate under the watchful eye of their kind, forgiving grandmother. But she suddenly dies, and the childhood idyll comes to an end.

The boys' parents return from abroad. What can be expected from a mother who hasn't seen her sons for several years? Love, affection, tenderness? Perhaps. Just not from Paul Pluvinage. Under her strict supervision, the children's lives turn into a living hell.

Having secured support, Grab-and-Swallow declares war on his mother. But as he hopes to overthrow this snake, he realizes that he resembles her terribly. She understands this too. The duel between these strong opponents will be all the more skillful, sharp, and unpredictable. A duel in which the victor may regret their superiority.
