Outlines of the Russian Troubles. The Collapse of Power and the Army

Anton Ivanovich Denikin (1872–1947) — a Russian general, one of the key leaders of the White movement.

His work «Outlines of the Russian Troubles» — is a comprehensive memoir written in emigration and dedicated to the dramatic events of 1917–1920. It reflects the revolution and the disintegration of the Russian Empire, the fall of the monarchy, as well as the beginning of the Civil War. This edition includes the first volume of five — «The Collapse of Power and the Army», covering events from February to September 1917. The author examines in detail the pre-revolutionary atmosphere in the country, focusing on the actions of the Provisional Government and the fate of the army.
