This manual "Journey to the Musical Land. Learning Notes, Composing Songs" is designed for children aged four to five and is a continuation of the series of creative notebooks "Journey to the Musical Land. Melody and Rhythm. Introduction to Notes.... Musical Alphabet" for children aged three to four. The creative notebook, being an analogue of a workbook, contains basic topics of elementary music theory: the placement of notes on the staff, note durations, dynamics, tempo, and articulations. The test tasks presented on the first pages will help reinforce the knowledge gained. One of the main objectives of the manual is to make it easier for children to understand the placement of notes on the staff. This task is addressed with the help of special musical material—short songs, where the initial text and the notes of the melody coincide. Each note is practiced in several creative tasks, and the final exercise consists of independent composition. To facilitate working with the musical notation, children are offered to use stickers with puzzles (parts) of the songs. Using stickers presents no difficulties for children in this age category and enhances motivation for independently completing the creative task. The musical constructor in the form of puzzles (parts) of songs is a convenient game form of learning. Puzzles were invented specifically for learning in the 17th century. This form of gaining knowledge is still effective today. Musical puzzles develop musical ear and memory, imagination and creativity, and most importantly - help to understand musical literacy. In addition to the practical benefit—developing the skill of fluent reading of musical text—working with puzzles provides the opportunity to understand the logic of constructing a musical piece, creating conditions for the development of the creative potential of young musicians.
