Lullaby for My Girl

The last investigation of detective Angie Pallorino ended with the death of a criminal, for which she was temporarily suspended from duty. From now on, Angie cannot carry a weapon and is required to visit a psychotherapist, as she has been experiencing strange dreams in which church bells ring for her and someone calls her to a grove.

Additionally, the man with whom she has developed a romantic relationship is increasingly distancing himself from her due to work.

Angie is trying to forget about her cases and figure herself out, but suddenly the Canadian Royal Police contacts her. Remains have been washed up to the ferry crossing, and the DNA matches her genetic material in an incredible way. Despite the formal prohibition on conducting investigations, Angie immediately takes on the case.
