Criminal Connection

In Voznesensk, the owner of a gas station chain, Alexander Skorostrelnikov, is killed. Private detective Tatiana Ivanova takes on the investigation. The wife of the main suspect, Valentina Novostroyevskaya, hires Tatiana to prove her husband's innocence. All the evidence - fingerprints, shoe prints, a silver family cigarette case - points to him, but Ivanova quickly realizes that everything looks like a skilled setup. During the investigation, the detective becomes acquainted with Novostroyevsky's competitors, studies his past, communicates with police officers, and visits the crime scene.
