A detailed biography of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (1896–1977), an outstanding religious figure and philosopher who introduced the Western world to the ancient spiritual tradition of bhakti, which has long been the cornerstone of Indian spirituality. This book narrates the...
life of an extraordinary person and his remarkable feat. This person is A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, a philosopher, scholar, spiritual leader, saint; and his feat lies in the fact that for the first time in world history he succeeded in transplanting the timeless spiritual culture of Ancient India onto Western soil.
This book consists of additional stories about His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada that were not included in the previous volumes of "Prabhupada Lilamrita."
The same methods of searching and processing the compiled information were used in the preparation of this volume as in the preparation of the other volumes of "Prabhupada Lilamrita." Several chapters of this volume are dedicated to the early years of Prabhupada's preaching in America from 1967 to 1969, while the remaining chapters describe his preaching in Europe and South America from 1972 to 1975.
These stories were collected simultaneously with the main part of "Prabhupada Lilamrita," when it became clear that its volume did not accommodate certain topics and events from Prabhupada's life. In other words, this supplemental volume largely complements the previous volumes of "Prabhupada Lilamrita."
