My Revolution

The book consists of vivid diary entries of people who, during 1916-1917, day by day, month by month, recorded their lives on paper. A fateful revolution in the foundations of existence for Russia took place; in 10 October days, the world became different, while people continued to eat, sleep, get sick, shave, sew dresses, give birth and baptize children, gather mushrooms, and cram Latin. 

These are living testimonies and at the same time a panorama of perspectives from people of different social classes, occupations, ages, and viewpoints—from convinced monarchists to fervent Bolshevik revolutionaries.
