Yulia Papushina is a teacher and researcher, a candidate of sociological sciences, and an associate professor at HSE Perm. Her academic interests include the sociology of fashion and consumption, and creative industries. She gives public lectures on the Soviet fashion industry and its regional dimension. Together with the archive of the city of Perm, she created a collection of documents on the history of fashion in the region. She is the author of several publications on the history of the Soviet fashion industry. She lives and works in Perm.
