I Came, I Saw - I Was Conquered!

This study is a story about the professional communication between Soviet and British architects in the 1930s to 1960s, from the moment of organized trips of English specialists to the USSR by "Intourist" and the All-Union Society for Cultural Relations... with Foreign Countries until the end of the thaw and the period of post-war reconstruction. The official context of this narrative is easier to interpret than the private relationships. However, behind the general history of cultural diplomacy, which is sometimes logical and sometimes contradictory, one can still feel personal intonations even in the most challenging moments. After all, people communicate simply because they are lonely.
