The book is dedicated to the little-known pages of the history of World War II in a secondary, albeit at times very important, theater of operations. It concerns the Soviet-British military operation "Consent" for the simultaneous occupation of the territory of Iran from the north and south, conducted in August 1941. The goal of the operation was to prevent the active activities of German intelligence in this country, which was persuading the Shah's government to side with the Axis powers. In addition, a safe land corridor for military aid to the Soviet Union from the Western Allies could be organized through Iranian territory. The work is based on archival and other documentary materials and, for the first time in domestic historiography, reveals the military preparations of all participants (USSR, Great Britain, Iran) in this short-term drama, as well as the military, political, and diplomatic efforts during the implementation of the "Consent" operation.
