Intelligence Service of the Third Reich. Secret Operations of Nazi Foreign Intelligence

The memoirs of Walter Schellenberg, head of the foreign intelligence service of the Third Reich's security service, is a description of real events in which he personally participated or received information first-hand. The Sorge case, the conspiracy to assassinate Stalin, the story of operation "Cicero", accounts of the personal lives of Hitler, Himmler, Göring, and Heydrich, operation "Zeppelin", "Red Orchestra", and many other intriguing secrets of Nazi intelligence up to the collapse of the Third Reich... Schellenberg described all this vividly, not seeking self-justification, rather reliving the sensations of holding power and his own significance. According to the general assessment of British "spymasters" who interrogated Schellenberg, he was a man without concepts of honor, loyalty, and rules of decency, cold-blooded, always a calculating realist, leaving nothing to chance.
