Time and Eternity

This book is dedicated to the exploration of the fundamental concepts of time and eternity in the spiritual and philosophical traditions of the East and West. The author draws parallels between Christian, ancient, Vedic, Buddhist, Islamic, and mystical teachings, demonstrating that behind the diversity of formulas and images lies a singular truth of the "eternal now" as the true reality, in which the past and future dissolve, and a person achieves the fullness of being. Through the texts of Aristotle, Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Boethius, Dante, Eckhart, Rumi, the Upanishads, and other sources, a common metaphysical foundation is revealed: time as a flow of changes and eternity as a motionless fullness.
