Cafe Bar is an easy family strategy board game where players take on the role of capybaras opening cozy cafes. In the process of the game, you create a menu, furnish the interior, acquire decor, upgrade the kitchen, attract new guests, and try to turn them into regular customers.
Each cafe is a unique combination of cards for dishes, drinks, and objects. Visitors come with their own requirements, and if your cafe meets their requests, they bring money, give bonuses, and can become "regulars," bringing victory points by the end of the game.
The theme is light, cute, and friendly, but the internal mechanics offer strategic choices and variability in gameplay.
At the beginning of a turn, the player chooses one card from their hand.
The card can be played in two ways:
1. Add it to your cafe as a dish, drink, decor, or functional element.
2. Play the card as a guest that needs to be served.
The cards placed in the cafe form a set of symbols necessary to meet the guests' demands.
If the visitor has enough symbols, they bring coins. If all requirements are met, they become a regular customer and provide points at the end of the game.
In the game, it is important to find a balance between developing the cafe (long-term strategy) and servicing guests (quick profit).
The player who earns the most victory points from coins, regulars, and features of the built cafe wins.
