Captain Uldemir. Heirs of Assart

The classic of domestic science fiction, Vladimir Mikhailov, began his literary career as a poet. And from poetry to science fiction – it's just one step, and there are plenty of examples. His first science fiction experience, the novella "Special Necessity," came at a fortunate time. Gagarin's flight, "Well, let's go!", the approach of space to humanity, enthusiastic crowds in the streets… Science fiction suddenly transformed from yesterday's literary Cinderella into a fairy-tale Firebird, and science fiction writers broke free from the tight confines of "second-rate literature" and entered the wide thoroughfare. A whole constellation of remarkable masters from Efremov and the Strugatsky brothers to Hansovsky, Savchenko, Gurevich, Larionova, Bulichev (the list could go on) enriched the science fiction genre. And one of the most notable stars in this constellation was the star named Vladimir Mikhailov.

"Heirs of Assart." The return to the planet Assart for Uldemir and his crew is, in general, a familiar task. But this time, everything must be different than before. Not a single shot. To act only peacefully. Otherwise, it will be the last straw that overfills the cup of patience of the higher universal powers that determine the fate of the Universe.
"Maybe there will be ten there?" The magnificent six, led by Captain Uldemir, are back in action. The goal of their challenging mission is the distant planet Almezot. The Law of the Universe states: the more foolish and unreasonable humanity is, the stronger the universal entropy, and this theoretical statement is not something far from reality. A planet whose population has lowered the bar of spirit to a minimum is realistically doomed to destruction. The world of this planet stops giving off Heat, and this part of the Universe turns into a realm of Darkness and Cold. But if there can be even a dozen on the doomed planet who have preserved the strength of spirit, then not everything is lost. But will there be? – that is the question.
