The literary work of Dazai Osamu is not limited to "The Undeserving Man" and "The Setting Sun" and includes more than one hundred and forty stories, in which the author's talent is fully revealed. His tragic humor, subtle irony, and deep understanding of the human soul are complemented by elegant experiments with literary styles. This edition includes works that have never before been published in Russian: "Notes of the Autumn Wind," "The Seagull," "Stories from Different Provinces in a New Interpretation," "Pandora's Box," and others. All stories are presented in translations by well-known Japanologists Tatiana Sokolova-Delyusina and Dmitry Ragozin.
