The album is prepared for the 250th anniversary of the Bolshoi Theater. It features previously unpublished photographs of the greatest ballet artists of the mid-20th century. The legendary Galina Ulanova, Marina Semyonova, and Asaf Messerer, along with the already risen... star, reigning over all Maya Plisetskaya, as well as a new generation — Ekaterina Maximova and Vladimir Vasiliev, Natalia Bessmertnova, Yuri Vladimirov, Mikhail Lavrovsky, Maris Liepa, Boris Akimov, Nina Sorokina, and very young artists — Nadezhda Pavlova, Vyacheslav Gordeev, Nina Semizorova, Alla Mikhalschenko, Lyudmila Semenyaka, Nina Ananiashvili, Andris Liepa. In the book, Grigory Verkhovsky tells how he managed to visit literally every corner of the theater — in the classrooms and at rehearsals, in the dressing rooms and in the makeup rooms of the outstanding dancers, and even on the roof with the famous horses by the sculptor Peter Clodt, from where there is a breathtaking view of Theater Square and the panorama of Moscow up to the very Kremlin towers. The album also features photographs of Ekaterina Vladimirova — famous dancers of the 21st century — Svetlana Zakharova, Nikolai Tsiskaridze, Denis Rodkin, Maria Vinogradova, Ivan Vasiliev, Maria Alexandrovna, Vyacheslav Lopatkin, Anna Nikulina, and many many others.
